Description - This is a fun and simple technique to use as a border or body of your quilt. It is a good project for jelly rolls or a stash buster. I will be teaching at least three different braids including: half hexagon braid, friendship, and centered diamond braids, plus patterns for a quilt and table runner.


Supplies/Fabric requirements

To learn technique: At least three different colors or prints of fabric cut into 2 1/2" wide strips at least 10" long. You will need at least 30 pieces. Jelly rolls are great for this.

For table runner: 30: 2 1/2" x 10

14: 2 1/2" squares of a contrasting color

1: 9" square of the contrasting color

Border: 1/2 yd

Binding: 1/2 yd

Backing: 1/2 yd

Needed Items - 

Hexagon ruler, basic sewing kit, rotary cutter, mat
